This study seeks to find, analyse and synthesize information from various sources to assess the structure of electricity generation in order to create information technology for diversification and optimization of the energy portfolio/mix. This is essential in order to ensure electricity supply (generation) stability and reliability, guarantee power quality for the end users of electricity. With the goal of optimising and managing the structure of electricity generation mix for electricity providers, our research focuses on combining different electricity generation technologies, maximising the value of the portfolio, e.g. ensuring energy security, and minimising the portfolio’s environmental footprint. One of the major findings is that the most effective and optimal scenario for energy mix development does not always coincide with the policies of the governments and companies’ strategies. The paper presents also the difference between the current and future optimal mix.</style></abstract><issue><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">3</style></issue><section><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">318</style></section></record><record><source-app name="Biblio" version="7.x">Drupal-Biblio</source-app><ref-type>17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Volodymyr Zaslavskyi</style></author><author><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Maya Pasichna</style></author></authors></contributors><titles><title><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Optimization Techniques for Modelling Energy Generation Portfolios in Ukraine and the EU: Comparative Analysis</style></title><secondary-title><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing</style></secondary-title></titles><dates><year><style  face="normal" font="default" size="100%">2018</style></year></dates><volume><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">761</style></volume><pages><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">545-555</style></pages><language><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">eng</style></language></record><record><source-app name="Biblio" version="7.x">Drupal-Biblio</source-app><ref-type>27</ref-type><contributors><authors><author><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Volodymyr Zaslavskyi</style></author><author><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Maya Pasichna</style></author></authors></contributors><titles><title><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Strategic Evaluation of Electricity Generation Structure in the European Union and Ukraine: Geographical Focus</style></title><secondary-title><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Dependable Systems, Services and Technologies, thesis of conference reports</style></secondary-title></titles><dates><year><style  face="normal" font="default" size="100%">2018</style></year></dates><pages><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">555-560</style></pages><language><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">eng</style></language></record><record><source-app name="Biblio" version="7.x">Drupal-Biblio</source-app><ref-type>17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Volodymyr Zaslavskyi</style></author><author><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Kateryna Krasovska</style></author><author><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Maya Pasichna</style></author></authors></contributors><titles><title><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Application of the Method of Analysis of Hierarchies in Solving the Problem of Diversification of the Composition of the Portfolio of Electricity Generation</style></title><secondary-title><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Visnyk Kyivskoho universytetu, Seriia: Fizyko-matematychni nauky</style></secondary-title></titles><dates><year><style  face="normal" font="default" size="100%">2017</style></year></dates><volume><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">2</style></volume><pages><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">123-131</style></pages><language><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">eng</style></language></record><record><source-app name="Biblio" version="7.x">Drupal-Biblio</source-app><ref-type>47</ref-type><contributors><authors><author><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Hanna Yailymova</style></author><author><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Hongji Yang</style></author><author><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Volodymyr Zaslavskyi</style></author></authors></contributors><titles><title><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Models and Methods in Creative Computing: Diversity and Type-Variety Principle in Development of Innovation Solutions</style></title><secondary-title><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">14th International Symposium on Pervasive Systems, Algorithms and Networks &amp;
