Following the introduction, it identifies fragmentation of reporting and presents threat assessment. Then it highlights the trends in cyber security, followed by a discussion on the importance of developing national cyber strategies. Last but not least, the authors provide general recommendations. At the same time, it introduces new risks and threats to the country in cyber space. To react against those challenges in the country, there are couple of awareness-raising campaigns, brought by government and non-government actors. However, the existing campaigns are only targeting children, parents and teachers, and institutional level and privacy concerns, while forgetting the end-user. Mainly the approach, in which the awareness campaigns are designed, relies on posters, guides, tips, websites, caravans, etc. For this reason, the article briefly analyses the Macedonian IT and cyber security awareness campaigns, coupled with the background of cyber security path about IT and cyber security awareness-raising. It suggests recommendations and solutions that should be considered in order to raise the awareness level in order to provide safer, more secure and trustworthy cyber space at all levels.

The topic is considered as one of the utmost priorities for the region due to (geo-) political, economic and security reasons. The legal and policy frameworks came out to be unclear, and a screening process had to be conducted for this analysis, due to the fact that comprehensive information is lacking, or at least are not publicly available. The first lesson to come out from this cluttered situation points to the need to prepare national cyber security strategies and organise the regional cooperation in that process.

Kenya&amp;rsquo;s ICT revolution followed the laying of undersea cables in 2009. Kenya&amp;rsquo;s growth in Internet use has been facilitated by high proliferation and adoption of mobile communications. Speedy diffusion and adoption has exposed the Kenyan public to unprecedented individual security threats via the mobile platform. A national drive to foster awareness and nurture detection and coping skills is urgently required. This paper focuses on the role of governmental cybersecurity strategy in this area and explores the approaches to be used for improving public awareness of mobile Internet threats. Without addressing this vital aspect, the core aim of the strategy could be defeated, despite its comprehensiveness and excellence in other areas. This paper presents the outcome of an online study and comparative analysis of cybersecurity strategies of two developing countries. We conclude by proposing techniques for raising national awareness of cyber threats of mobile Internet, with a clear mandate to governments in developing countries to address this as a matter of urgency, and to include it in their respective cybersecurity strategies.&lt;/p&gt;</style></abstract><issue><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">2</style></issue></record></records></xml>
