Engagement of the Ministry of Defense and Bulgarian Armed Forces in Establishing Information Society

Abstract:

This article presents an analysis of the Strategy for Development of Information Society in the Republic of Bulgaria and the National Program for the Development of Information Society. It addresses issues related to the Information Society (IS) and its characteristics, principles and goals as seen by the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Defense. The article points out the actions needed to be taken so that the goals of the IS are achieved. It also points out the importance of strengthening national security and optimizing the defense management in the establishment of IS. In this respect the article deals with issues related to developing C4I systems.
