Language services - Definitions

In announcing publicly our costs, we use the following definitions:

A "standard page" consists of 250 words. In the calculation of "standard pages" we include notes, references, and bibliography.

"Light copy-editing" relates to texts, written by a well-educated native speaker, who has invested the necessary efforts to provide references and bibliography in the required journal, book, or proceedings style.

"Standard copy-editing" relates to texts, written by a well-educated non-native speaker with a good knowledge of the respective language, who has invested efforts to provide references and bibliography in the required journal, book, or proceedings style.

"Developmental copy-editing" relates to texts, written by a non-native speaker with a moderate knowledge of the respective language, who has tried to provide references and bibliography in the required journal, book, or proceedings style.
