Smart defence and development of Air Force capabilities

On 6 October 2011, Dr. Todor Tagarev and Dr. Venelin Georgiev will participate in the International Conference "Bulgarian Air Force Development in the Context of Smart Defence" at Park Hotel Sankt Peterburg, Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The conference is organized by the AFCEA-Varna chapter under the auspices of the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria. The Commander of the Bulgarian Air Force MG Constantin Popov, the Director of the Strategic Planning Directorate of the Defence Staff Commodore Georgi Fidanov and other distinguished speakers from Bulgaria and allied countries are among the participants.  

Dr. Tagarev will speak on the challenges of practical implementation of the concept of smart defence. Dr. Georgiev will present a report on "Principles and Criteria for Selecting a Fighter for the Bulgarian Air Force".
